Sales Coordinator for Modern Living Publishing, LLC

Modern Living Publishing, LLC, is looking to hire an ambitious, outgoing, hardworking sales coordinator.

 

HOURS

Part-time.

 

COMPENSATION

The position is 100% commission based but with opportunity to grow into full-time.

 

WHO WE ARE

Modern Living Publishing, LLC, produces several bi-monthly regional lifestyle publications within California. We are looking for individuals who share our passion for sales and marketing.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    The sales coordinator would be responsible for following a media plan to source leads, pitch, track, and close deals. All efforts will be tracked with weekly updates to the sales lead.

•    The sales coordinator must live in a major marketplace and have experience with print and digital publications or like-minded brands and industries including home décor, fashion, lifestyle, etc.

 

REQUIREMENTS

•    Bachelors Degree in communications, business, marketing, management
•    Must have 2+ years of sales experience
•    Must align with the Modern Living Publishing brand
•    Must be willing to work with media deadlines
•    Must have access and knowledge of gmail

PR and Social Media Intern for Modern Living Publishing, LLC

LOCATION

Fresno, CA

We’re seeking 1-2 rockstar interns in the Fresno area to help grow our business and deliver awesome work for our clients. Some responsibilities assigned to our new intern(s) will include small writing assignments, project coordination, admin duties, internal marketing, media pitching and community management for agency and client social media channels. In addition to daily responsibilities, the intern(s) will also work with our staff at the beginning of their internship to design their own self-led project based on their interests, which will be a great portfolio builder once complete.

Our ideal candidate is interested in making a positive impact on good causes through their work while learning more about marketing, social media, business and entrepreneurship. A sense of humor is also a must! Marketing, advertising, public relations and journalism majors are preferred, but students in all fields of study are encouraged to apply. You must have availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.  We’re looking for candidates available to start sometime immediately.

 

HOURS

10-15 hours per week.

Brand Development Intern for Modern Living Publishing, LLC

HOURS

Part-Time.

 

COMPENSATION

Experience gained can be put towards college credit. Possible hire in the future for the right candidate.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to:
•    Marketing/PR/social media development/E-mail and Direct marketing and graphic design duties.
•    Assisting with marketing and branding strategy. Brainstorming creative viral and guerrilla marketing tactics.
•    Gather marketing research and statistical information for existing and desired market areas, key accounts and partner possibilities.
•    Data entry and database/calendar management.
•    Brand promotions and event marketing.
•    Detailing entry guidelines and promotion of Art Contest, Video/Photo contest.
•    If interested, writing original content for our upcoming industry related blog.

You will be given the level of responsibility you want to take on, if you are a go-getter there will be amazing opportunity to grow and learn within this position.

 

REQUIREMENTS

•    Must be Junior or Senior studying for a B.A. or B.S. Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, graphic design or related course study (strong emphasis in social media & internet marketing.)
•    Maintain 3.0 G.P.A. or higher.
•    Must have own computer.
•    Thorough understanding of social media (such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr, and Pinterest) is necessary. If you have experience with writing a blog and/or social media marketing, that is a plus.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Must be extremely organized and prioritize well to meet deadlines… ability to work independently and as a team. Self-starter.
•    Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, some Excel and PowerPoint).
•    Effective Internet research skills.
•    Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and have a customer service approach at all times.
•    Basic Photoshop and graphic design skills a huge plus.
•    Some familiarity and working knowledge of html code for newsletter creation, blogging or website updates is desired (but not necessary).

Editorial Internships

Modern Living Publishing, LLC, is accepting applications from college students and graduates for its editorial internship program. Interns work on a part-time, unpaid basis for three to five months and receive practical experience in critical reading and analysis, research, fact checking, and the general workings of a regional magazine. Each intern works closely with an editor on one section of the magazine, takes part in the creation of each edition, and is encouraged to read widely, generate ideas and approach problems creatively.

Art Internships

Modern Living Publishing, LLC, is accepting applications from college students and graduates for its art internship program. Art interns work on a part-time, unpaid basis for three to five months and receive practical experience in electronic page layout, color separation, art and photo research, working with freelancers, and the general workings of the art department of a regional magazine. Interns are encouraged to generate ideas, view current exhibits at museums and galleries, read widely, and approach problems creatively.
