LUX Beauty: DIY Face Mask For Tired Skin

LUX Beauty: DIY Face Mask For Tired Skin

Last week the time change affected us all to Spring forward! I feel like I am still trying to get on track. If you have been working late or sleeping less, everyone can make out from the tell-tale signs that are visible on your face. Yes, your stress leaves its icky footprints on your skin, sooner or later. But fear not, this DIY face mask will make your skin feel awake and rejuvenated.

Green Tea Face Mask - Green tea again is an incerdible ingredient packed with antioxidants that help to sooth irritated and damaged skin. Green tea when used topically has anti-inflammatory properties that can be both soothing and healing for rosacea, acne, and sun damage. It also helps to keep the natural oil balance of the skin intact... all while politely saying, WAKE UP! It's not just for sipping.

Ingredients:

1 tsp matcha green tea powder (organic is best)
1/2 tsp cold pressed virgin coconut oil (or honey)
1/2-1 tsp water

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl until desired consistency (not too watery, not too thick). Apply to a freshly cleansed face (it is easiest to use a clean makeup brush… feels amazing too). Leave mask on it on until it dries, or for up to an hour. Wash off with warm water and follow up with your fave moisturizer. Be prepared to see your skin glow with alertness after this one!
