4TH ANNUAL GALA OF LIGHT
Benefiting Exceptional Parents Unlimited
Exceptional Parents Unlimited (EPU) hosted the 4th Annual Gala of Light on November 8th at Pardini’s, which brought together more than 300 guests in support of the families served by EPU. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the evening raised over $125,000 to benefit the organization’s programs. This year’s honorees were Wilma Tom Hashimoto, recipient of the Beacon of Hope Award for a remarkable career dedicated to early education and at-risk youth, and Kaiser Permanente Fresno, honored with the Hope Grows Here Award for its ongoing investment in EPU through board leadership, skill-sharing initiatives, and financial contributions. Lowell Ens, EPU President & CEO, demonstrated the profound impact of connection on stage, where he invited a partner agency, a donor, a board member, and a staff member to link their little fingers together, symbolizing unity. As they connected to a “family,” hearts on the family’s chest illuminated, visually representing the light and hope EPU brings to those it serves.
