BOB SMITTCAMP FAMILY NEUROSCIENCES INSTITUTE OPENING
On Thursday, May 21st, Community Health System celebrated the opening of the Bob Smittcamp Family Neurosciences Institute with a special reception for donors, grateful patients, physicians, community leaders, and members of the neurosciences team totaling over 300. The $30 million project was fully funded through philanthropy and will connect patients to top neuro specialists and cutting-edge research, all under one roof. Special thanks were extended to Brent Smittcamp, the Smittcamp family, and committee members Matty Matoian, Melissa Der Manouel, and Craig Saladino, whose unwavering dedication and leadership helped bring Bob’s vision for enhanced neurological care in the Central Valley to life. Their passion, generosity, and commitment to our community have helped create a lasting legacy that will impact patients and families for generations to come. Additionally, deep gratitude extends to the dynamic women of Community’s Founders Club, along with generous community supporters and employee donors, whose philanthropy, advocacy, and belief in this vision helped make the Bob Smittcamp Family Neurosciences Institute possible.
