La Posada comprises seven rooms/suites that originally served as horse stables. The rooms sleep two to four people each and face each other across a charming grassy fountain-crowned courtyard that overlooks the pond and rolling hills. Each room is uniquely designed, featuring handcrafted Mexican furnishings, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, Saltillo tile floors, and Talavera tiled bathrooms. It is indeed the most romantic place to stay in SLO.

The Hacienda is a private vacation rental, boasting three bedrooms and two bathrooms that can accommodate up to six guests quite comfortably. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed and a private shower with a laundry closet. The two guest rooms each have a queen bed and share a bathroom. An intimate living area and dining room welcome guests to relax and dine together. It even has a full kitchen with an outdoor grill and patio areas that are walled in.

All stays at this B&B include a European-style continental breakfast, which is served in The Lounge during reservation dates. Included is a ranch-fresh egg dish, fine charcuterie and cheeses, organic yogurt, fruit, and granola, as well as gourmet coffee, tea, and juice. The Lounge is open daily to all guests. A small sitting space, tables for two, barstool seating, and a kitchenette with wine bar access make it ideal for moments you want to stay in with the comforts of home.

Italian towels and linens by Rivolta Carmignani and hypoallergenic goose down duvets and pillows will keep even the most resolute morning persons hurkle-durkling. Exclusively blended bath amenities and plush signature-monogrammed terry robes and slippers further the luxurious overtone. La Lomita’s accommodations are also TV-free, enabling guests to truly embrace the sanctuary space concept.

Located off Orcutt Road, which extends out the southeasternmost side of San Luis Obispo, on La Lomita Way, the ranch, despite only being on the outskirts of town, feels worlds away. Given its proximity, getting there or going into SLO couldn’t be easier. For those who want to soak in every minute they can on the property, a multitude of restaurant delivery options make it just as easy to stay in. Besides, a cemented courtyard, featuring a fire pit and several separate seating areas, lets guests soak up the spectacular scenery. There is no shortage of great views at La Lomita, and guests are encouraged to explore and take advantage of what speaks to them.

Around the property unfolds Edna Valley, known for exceptional wines that regularly garner international recognition. Even then, La Lomita Wines is a rare vineyard. Every bottle produced reflects the remarkable character of the estate vines, which grow on historic Islay Hill. It is the only vineyard on this 20-million-year-old volcanic morro.
