Revival 23 has grown considerably since Teresa Pries first opened the business in 2014. Today, she and her daughter, Alexis, work alongside one another, bringing individual strengths to a mother-daughter partnership that continues to shape and grow the brand. “Revival 23 is built on a unique bond and unwavering support,” Teresa understands. “Alexis and I thrive on the challenge that comes with the retail industry, each playing into our individual strengths. I would say I have a true talent for selecting unique pieces and transforming a space into somewhere you’ll never want to leave. Alexis works as my right-hand man, running things from behind the scenes. She ensures the brand is constantly elevating. From social media to interior design presentations, Alexis pushes the limits on creativity, encouraging me to do the same.” That same creative energy extends throughout the Revival 23 showroom, where furnishings, décor, and finishes are thoughtfully presented to help clients envision how individual pieces might translate within their own homes.

“A compliment we constantly get from our customers is how atmospheric our shops are,” Teresa divulges. “When you enter our store, you’re immediately face-to-face with our front display.” Every week, Revival 23 transforms the shop with elaborate displays intentionally designed to engage the senses. From the visual impact to the comforting feel and an inviting signature scent, a visit to Revival 23 becomes an immersive experience. “No two days look the same. The ever-changing product keeps clients coming back and ensures they have pieces no one else does.”

Designed to Reflect You

Revival 23’s design services span everything from new construction and major renovations to furnishing and refreshing an existing space. Determining the right level of service begins with understanding not only the home itself, but also the people who live there. “The best way for us to understand a client’s needs is simple: we talk to them. We believe that the better you know your client the better we can help them meet their goals. For us, taking the time to really listen to our client is the difference between a good job and a great one.”

Teresa describes Revival 23’s systems and processes as one of the team’s greatest strengths—a structure designed to bring clarity and order to what can otherwise feel like an overwhelming undertaking. “When a client decides to work with us, we guide them through a step by step process, working thoroughly through each phase before moving on to the next. Our goal is to help our clients design their space right the first time, so we treat every step like the most important and make sure to never cut corners. From mood boards to scale and space planning, to actually purchasing items, we are with our clients every step of the way, ensuring that the project stays on track.”

Behind every finished space is a considerable amount of sourcing, ordering, coordinating, budgeting, installation, and communication. Keeping those moving pieces aligned has become an integral part of the Revival 23 experience, made possible in no small part by the natural rhythm Teresa and Alexis have developed working together. “The key to the Revival 23 experience is the bond between Alexis and me. We truly are a well-oiled machine with years of experience working with one another. While we each handle certain aspects of the process, our unique dynamic brings in a level of communication, understanding, and partnership that can be hard to come by.”

Intentionality at the Core

Furnishings and décor are particular strengths of Revival 23, with intentionality laying the groundwork for every selection. Teresa approaches furniture, lighting, rugs, art, accessories, and finishing touches with an eye toward creating rooms that feel collected and layered rather than simply decorated. “When it comes to selecting pieces for a client’s space, the goal is to help them find functional, high-quality, and timeless pieces that will last. We use mood boards to help curate and design each space, making sure every piece works with one another and not against each other. We believe each space should tell a story and to us, that’s the difference between just decorating a space and styling it.”

Fixtures and Finishes

One of the advantages of Revival 23 operating as both a retail showroom and design studio is that clients need not undertake a full-scale renovation to benefit from the team’s expertise. Sometimes, transforming a home comes down to knowing which elements will make the greatest impact. “One great thing about Revival 23 is that our process is really custom to the client. We focus a lot on what we call fixtures and finishes. With many clients, that means taking a home they already love and turning it into somewhere they never want to leave. Whether it’s through new furniture, fresh paint, lighting, or wallpaper, there are so many ways to elevate a client’s space without undergoing an entire renovation project.”

There may be more ways than ever to shop from home, but the convenience of online purchasing cannot replicate the personal attention and expertise found through an in-person design experience.
