Dr. Mazi Bidar // Eye Medical Group - Dr. Bidar joined the Eye Medical Center in 2005. He is one of the only 600 surgeons in the country who is certified by the prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) and the only one in the Central Valley as well as a member of the board of directors for the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons. Dr. Bidar has performed over 12,000 surgeries and laser treatments and over 17,000 facial filler and Botox injections.
Dr. Bidar is proud to say that he takes a caring and conservative approach to patients’ facial improvements. It is Dr. Bidar’s goal to customize a treatment plan that is unique to his patients’ specific needs. Dr. Uma Rao // Modern Aesthetics - Dr. Rao completed her internship in Staten Island, NY and her residency at UCSF Fresno in Internal Medicine. She also attended UC California Riverside, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Dr. Rao is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Edgar Macias // Macias Dermatology - Dr. Macias graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California with an honours degree in Psychobiology. He earned his medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School and received surgical training during his internship in general surgery at the University of California San Francisco. He completed his training in medical and cosmetic dermatology in New York City. During his medical education, Dr. Macias developed a fascination with the science and art of dermatology. Realizing that no specialty offered a greater variety of patients or interesting cases, he was inspired to become a dermatologist and run his own private practice.
Throughout his medical training, Dr. Macias has been actively involved in teaching and writing on various topics pertaining to medical dermatology; he recently authored a lead article on “Superantigens in Dermatology,” which graced the cover of the March 2011 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Macias is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and is on staff at the local hospital. He is licensed in California and is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Kathleen Behr - Dr. Kathleen L. Behr is a board-certified dermatologic surgeon. She obtained her medical degree in 1990 and completed a residency in dermatology at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1995. Dr. Behr then completed fellowships in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic surgery at UCLA. She continued on at UCLA as an assistant clinical professor until 2001 when she moved to Fresno.
She has received several honors and awards. She was chief resident her last year of residency. She received the Victor Newcomer award for teaching while at UCLA. Dr. Behr was voted best dermatologist by her peers in Fresno Magazine in 2007 and 2009. She is a published author and lecturer. She is also a trainer for Botox and Juvederm an has achieved the prestigious ‘Black Diamond’ status with Allergan. She is a Fellow for the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery & Cutaneous Oncology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Behr specializes is dermatologic surgery including Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Mark Chin - Dr. Chin has had a successful solo practice plastic surgery since 1993 and is the Director of the Valley Institute of Plastic Surgery (V.I.P.S). He is fortunate to have an experienced office staff who provide caring, sympathetic, and empathetic support to his patients. They are both knowledgeable and resourceful and assist patients with many of their questions pre-operatively as well as during their recovery.
Patients are comforted by the fact that they have several people in addition to the doctor who can personally assist them through their surgical experience. His patients come from various ethnic backgrounds (European, Hispanic, Armenian, Asian, African-American, Middle-Eastern, etc.) and have traveled throughout California and have even come from out-of-state for his treatment.
