Hairitage Salon has deep roots in Fresno, founded as a barber shop by Chuck Weaver over 50 years ago. Having already established a prolific beauty career in the Central Valley, I came to work for The Hairitage (the salon’s original name) in 2013. My specialties include hair color, highlights, men’s and women’s haircutting and styling, as well as permanent makeup. I feel honored to have been handed the baton of a business with a great history and reputation. On May 1st, 2021, I became the new owner of Hairitage Salon! Life is beautiful—and if it’s not, I can fix that!

MY APPROACH TO AESTHETICS
When you love what you do, it isn’t a job. I choose to see the beauty or handsome features in each person and communicate each client’s requests with realistic results. Knowledge and continued education are important, so I make it a priority to stay up to date on the latest permanent makeup certifications. My passion is being of service to others and making the world more beautiful, one person at a time.

WHO MENTORED ME IN MY CAREER
In 1979, I attended Visalia College of Beauty under the direction of Don and Lydia Estes. Joseph Feramisco, of Joseph’s Salon, gave me my first start. I was inspired by Jose Eber and visited his salon several times in Los Angeles. Sandy Hammonds of Premier Pigments in Texas, a pioneer in permanent makeup, was also a big influence.

MY HISTORY
I have worked for several swanky salons in Fresno and even bought one in the Tower District—I had that business for five years before having my sons. I’m very proud to have worked alongside many well-known local beauty professionals and feel I’ve finally come full circle—I’m proud to have Chris Cruz and LaDonna English on my staff now. Plus, we have room for one more!
