Career-Defining Moment
The most memorable defining moment in my career, by far, was during our company's IPO (UCP, Inc.), where we rang the opening bell at the NYSE. Adding to that moment, being the only female on the podium. Now that I have transitioned from corporate America to being self-employed, the defining moments happen every time a family gets the keys to their new home.

Who Mentored Me In My Career
I was extremely fortunate to have had amazing mentors throughout my career. Two individuals invested in my success above all others. Sandra Wilson, Co-Owner of SAN MAR Properties, was an incredible female role model to me. She taught me how to manage people and processes with diligence and compassion. Rich Wathen, Principle of Wathen-Castanos, was also very influential. Learning the home building industry from one of Fresno's most respected professionals was one of the greatest blessings I could have received.
