The story behind my business name
blūvera blends the calming, serene psychology of the color blue with the Latin root vera, meaning “true” or “real.” It represents our core mission: providing a peaceful, clinically precise sanctuary where patients can break through the darkness and finally return to their true, authentic selves.
Career defining moment
Witnessing the transformative impact of ketamine therapy on patients who had exhausted conventional treatment options. Despite my expertise with the most advanced pain management procedures, I saw many individuals still searching for relief and hope. Recognizing this gap in care, and the lack of a dedicated ketamine center in the region, inspired me to start blūvera and bring this innovative treatment to our community.
My latest goal
My goal is to bring hope closer to home. Through education, advocacy, and patient-centered care, I aim to increase awareness in the Central Valley about treatment options for individuals struggling with depression, PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain. I am especially passionate about serving veterans, first responders, and others who feel they have run out of options, empowering them to reclaim their resilience, discover paths to healing, and realize that hope is always within reach.
How I am helping to advance my field
As an active member of the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists, and Practitioners, I am helping develop national clinical guidelines for the use of IV ketamine. This collaborative effort brings together leading experts to establish evidence-based standards that promote safety, effectiveness, and responsible patient care, helping shape the future of the field.
