GARDEN GLAM
The Bedrosian-Nunes Wedding
The April marriage of Kimberly Bedrosian and Tyson Nunes united two Central Valley families with deep roots in a setting that was as meaningful as it was breathtaking. The reception, held in the beautifully manicured gardens of the bride’s family home, was widely regarded as the wedding of the season and attended by some of the most glamorous figures in the Greater Fresno area. But Kim and Ty’s story began long before this much-anticipated and storied spring celebration, on September 8th, 2021.
Theirs is a relationship that proves online dating can have a fairytale ending. A self-described “Bumble couple,” Kim recalls, “We were both on our last nerves with online dating at that point, but we both matched that day,” noting their shared Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo connection. A simple “Go Mustangs!” message from her sparked their initial chat. Tyson responded right away, and the two quickly exchanged numbers. Kim then reached out to a mutual friend she discovered they shared on social media to learn more about him.
“He’s from Tulare. His family is amazing. He’s awesome, so much fun—I grew up with him. You definitely need to date him,” her friend Reagan raved, giving Kim the green-light she needed. As their early courtship unfolded, the couple began to suspect this might not have been their first encounter given the common college ground. “We were there the same years, like there was a little overlap,” she elaborates. “Same major, same classes. I’m not going say we never met because we very well could have, but we never met consciously.” Then again, timing is everything.
It was clear that first Christmas season that something truly special was transpiring. As a gift for Kim, Ty commissioned three paintings inspired by songs that held deep sentimental value for both of them—one of which would later become their first dance song: Strawberries by Caamp. “We met in September. By early November, I was like, ‘I think this is it for me,’” Kim recalls. “I knew by the second date,” asserts Tyson, referencing a day trip they took to see the melodrama in Oceano, followed by dinner in Pismo Beach. “Everything was just so easy and natural. It just felt right.”
It felt like home. Both the Bedrosian and Nunes families have called the Central Valley home for generations, each creating profound legacies over the years. Kimberly’s grandparents came to Fowler from Armenia during the genocide more than a century ago. Her father, Kenneth, helped found National Raisin Company alongside his brothers in 1969. Tyson’s family arrived in the region around the same time and is now in its fourth generation of farming and dairy work in Tulare. In fact, Ty is the youngest of nearly two dozen grandchildren in his family.
Jewelry is another passion that runs in Kim’s blood—her maternal grandfather worked for Harry Winston in Los Angeles and was one of the jewelers who worked on the Hope Diamond. For her mother Jane’s wedding, he crafted gold rings for each of her bridesmaids, featuring a rose design and their birthstones at the center—Kim was later gifted the one originally made for her aunt. Still, Kimberly’s most treasured ring arrived in July 2023, when Tyson proposed. He designed the three-stone engagement ring himself, and both it and their wedding bands were crafted by Ashoori & Co. Jewelers in Visalia. Ty’s wedding band mirrors Kim’s, featuring the same three stone shapes: round, princess, and pear.
Everyone at the jewelry store was so taken with Tyson’s ring design that the owner, Mike Ashoori, called to say, “I advise you to get down here to the shop before one of these ladies here gets off with it because they’re all going bananas over it,” Ty recounts. “Then he told me, ‘Let me know as soon as you propose so that I can share it because we’ve never done something like this and it’s so unique and I’m looking forward to sharing it, advertising, promoting it.’”
Tyson proposed to Kimberly at Chapel Hill in Shandon, overlooking the vineyards. The joy-filled selfie they snapped in that moment was so magical that the jeweler asked to feature it on his business billboard, saying, “It really just brings out everything you would think an engagement looks like.” That advertisement ran for months along Mooney Boulevard.
According to Kim, most Armenian weddings are primarily white—but not theirs! The celebration was as unconventional as the couple’s rings. Each woman in the bridal party chose her own dress, all tied together through a shared color story of fuchsia and floral patterns. “I had seven bridesmaids and one junior bridesmaid, which was my niece, so eight total,” Kim lists. “And then I had two matrons of honor.” Tyson also had eight groomsmen, including his best friend, both of his brothers, and Kim’s two brothers, along with other relatives and friends. The men’s classic tuxedos were accented with brightly colored floral boutonnières.
Kim’s attire perfectly echoed the “Garden Glam” theme. For her wedding dress, she visited What’s Up Europe and selected a floral lace gown by Vladiyan Royal Dresses, paired with Betsy Johnson shoes. Her reception dress, from Unmatched BYU, matched the bridal party’s bright pink hue. Hairstyling was provided by Bay Area Beautiful and Jessica Dewey, while makeup was done by Makeup My Manda and Teri Means. Kim’s sunless tan was applied by Naked Tans, and her nails were done by Glossy Nails Salon. Tyson wore a custom tuxedo with a floral lining, crafted by Crumps Clothing. In preparation for the big day, both visited Teeth That Sparkle for a couples whitening session.
The wedding was a two-part, dual-city celebration. The formal ceremony took place at First Armenian Presbyterian Church in Fresno, with music performed by The Tower Quartet. Guests then made their way to Kim’s childhood home—her parents’ ranch in Fowler—for the reception. There, 285 guests gathered to socialize, dine, drink, and dance the night away. Absolute Comfort Limousine provided transportation for the wedding party and served as a convenient and efficient shuttle service for guests.
The Bedrosian estate grounds provided the perfect backdrop for the celebration, allowing the “Garden Glam” theme to shine throughout the décor. The Linen Shoppe handled the linens used on the chairs, tabletops, farm tables, and church draping. White Linen Design created the stationery, while Kiku Floral designed all of the floral arrangements. Furnishings were provided by Best Party Rentals, with specialty rentals and bars sourced from Stockroom Picks. Lighting was supplied by Light Up The Walls. Pardini’s Catering & Banquets managed the food and drinks, and the wedding cake, desserts, and floral butters were the creative work of One Sweet Table.
No detail was overlooked. The Ivory Rose Creative designed the signage and bar vinyls, while Celeb Creations produced the dance floor and stage wraps. Facilities were provided by the Oval Office Restrooms trailer. An audio guestbook was curated by Two Little Doves, and custom Fat Heads of the couple’s pets were created by Pro-Screen Inc. Print, Signage, and Graphics. Kim and Ty even handmade the guest favors themselves—bars of Sober Duck Soap from their own handcrafted artisan soap line.
Capturing the event was a top priority. Guests enjoyed the photo booth provided by Entertainment 360, while videographer McCall Ryan documented what will undoubtedly become Kim and Ty’s favorite movie to rewatch for years to come. The couple also hired live painter Jess Perna Fine Art to create a real-time painting of their wedding, all as DJ Diko kept guests dancing well into the night. Their choreographed first dance was brought to life with the help of Nathan Gonzales.
From a serendipitous Bumble match to a wedding day steeped in tradition, creativity, and deep personal meaning, Kimberly and Tyson’s love story is a testament to timing, intention, and shared roots. Surrounded by family, friends, and generations of love, their celebration was more than a beautiful event—it was the joyful beginning of a new legacy. As the sun set over the Fowler vineyards and the music played into the night, it was clear to everyone in attendance that this was not just the wedding of the season, but the start of a lifetime filled with laughter, purpose, and enduring connection.
